In late
July the writer and photographer
completed the on-site stage of an
assignment in Southwest China, laying
the groundwork and shooting photos for
his most recent book project. The text,
completed in late September, and approximately 220 images cover
regional ecological protection efforts, culture, industry and the land and people of Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province.
Set for 2013 publication, the total work
is tentatively entitled:
